Situation 5/28 Update

• May 20: EF-5 tornado struck city of Moore (pop. 56k; Cleveland Co.)
• POTUS site visit occurred May 26, 2013
• Preliminary damage assessment based on aerial data:
  • Destroyed: 1,248
  • Major damage: 452
  • Minor damage: 640
  • Impacted: 1,597
  • Several more days until official damage counts complete/released
• 24 confirmed fatalities and 387 injuries
• Power restored to all customers able to receive power
• No unmet needs reported
  

Situation 5/26 Update

• May 20, EF-5 tornado impacted city of Moore (pop. 56,315), Cleveland County
• Recovery efforts ongoing; focus on debris removal and housing
• Structures damaged/destroyed (OK state report)
  • Destroyed: 1,150 (based on aerial assessment - it will be several days before official damage counts are completed/released)
  • Damaged: 157 major ; 48 minor 
  • Impacted: 1,122
• No unmet needs reported
• 26 (+2) confirmed fatalities and 387 injuries
• Sporadic power outages remain (peak 30,202) for customers able to receive power
