Crawford & Company(R) Acquires GAB Robins

ATLANTA (December 1, 2014) — Crawford & Company today announced that it has completed the purchase of GAB Robins Holdings UK Limited (GAB Robins), a loss adjusting and claims management provider headquartered in the UK. The acquisition of GAB Robins will enable Crawford to significantly expand its claims handling business across a wide range of product lines in the UK and bolster its global specialty lines claims services.

Team One Adjusting, LLC and Ideal Adjusting, Inc

After storms damaged Mary Erving’s home in Cedar Hill, Texas, she looked to her homeowner’s insurer, National Lloyds to help her rebuild.  National Lloyds sent two adjusters, Team One Adjusting, LLC and Ideal Adjusting, Inc., to inspect the Erving home, and National Lloyds ultimately paid the claims based on the adjusters’ assessments.

Racketeering suit faces Hartford over Sandy

New York • A couple claiming damage from Hurricane Sandy has filed court papers accusing a Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. unit, an engineering firm and a law firm for the insurer of engaging in racketeering by scheming to use fraudulent reports to deny claims.

What is your least favorite type of property claim to work?

I can't stand working theft claims but i don't get too many of them.  I guess a close 2nd would be lightning claims.  Give me a good hail or wind claim so I can inspect it and close it.
