I think someone should have done this a long time ago.  Let's start a list of fee schedules from different carriers and their preferred IA firms.  Everyone should know what companies pay IA's instead of having to learn the hard way.  Anyone have several 2010 fee schedules to start?

I think this is the year of the double fee schedule returns with multiple storms hitting the US and sends the carriers and vendors in a full blown panic attack searching for adjusters to handle claims.

I dis agreed I think the fees will be cut. Look at how large USAA is in the Homeowner Market and look at the 2010 fee

It's not all about fee schedules.
What % does the IA Firm pay?
Does the IA Firm take out taxes (W-2) and pay unemployment insurance?
Does the IA Firm pay for your E&O?
Will you have Workers Comp. Insurance?

Note  these vendors work for State Farm and others. I would trust Nomad as I know the owners, 65% plus E & O is better than many, I would work for this.

The USAA fee schedule hurts. I worked USAA last year while my buddy worked State Farm through Eberl's. He was making at least twice what I was and had a lot less headaches. However, he only worked 5 weeks...I worked several months. The fee schedule this year is bitter considering that USAA did away with percentage billing.

Has anyone worked USAA files for Irene?  How is the fee schedule?

I would love to know as well. I'm not exactly thrilled about what I am getting right now.

USAA has flipped back and forth on the day rate or fee schedule billing. I think as the top personnel changes, the attitude towards IA adjusters changes as well.

And, the General has retired, I heard. There will probably be a lot of changes within USAA in the near future and the IA fees are among them.

The upside of USAA claims is the client base. I have never worked a USAA claim and had a rude insured. Nearly all of them are retired military officers that understand the contract, understand the scope of damage and also, most important, understand communication. I have had a few demanding insureds but when they realized that I was there to address the damages and had no agenda, they calmed down and worked with me to conclude their claim.

There's far worse companies to work for, count your blessings.

USAA is one of the few and maybe the only company with a Windows compliant computer system.
