Public Adjuster wanting to switch license to Independent Adjuster 4660 2
Started by DebiAvocato
Hi, I am currently a Public Insurance Adjuster with the state of Florida.&160; I am not too happy with my current standing as a PA, and have been contemplating for over a year now becoming an Independent Adjuster.&160; I really believe this would be a better fit for me.&160; However, after working on claims for 3 years as a PA, I am really not sure how to make that leap.&160; I know that I have to inform the state that I would like to transfer my license, and that I already have the training...

How to increase chances of getting called when you have no experience? 6128 12

I have no experience adjusting and no related background experience such as the construction field etc.
Can anyone recommend any ways to increase my chances of getting signed on with some companies and then getting called up when the storms hit
My plans right now are:
1- Get my Texas All Lines Adjuster's License
2- Get Xactimate certified
3- Look for a local adjuster to ride with on local adjusting claims (at least a few)
4- Work on getting my Texas Real Est...

Who should I work for on my first, second, third storm 3367 1

If you have close friends or family in good standing try to get on with the same vendor. If you have a chance to work for a carrier 'that you have a certification with' work for this carrier with the 'best' vendor you can find. Who are the best vendors, I will not name them but this form is replete with vendors who are not good. Contact all that have you on the list and ask your place in line, then ask for a copy of the sub-contractors contract by email.
Stay away from the vendors whose contrac...

Hi Everyone,&160; I just completed my Texas Pre-Licensing, Xactimate and Basic Adjusting Class.&160; My question pertains to the criminal background check for the TDI.&160; I used to live in Texas and had my background for Texas done while I was in Dallas.&160; I now live in Colorado and had my fingerprints done locally at the Sheriffs office, but they didn't do background checks.&160; The TDI application says to send $34.95 and they do the background check.&160; If I do this who do I make...

Conference attandance 3007 1
Started by freebob
With new and expensive conferences being schuduled into this new year, they become difficult to attend due to the expenses when there has been no work to speak of to be able to afford the conference fees, hotel, transportation and lodging. It will be obvious that attendance will be down this year. If we are unable to attend a conference than we, as adjusters, pay the price for not showing an interest in a particular CAT company. It's not that we aren't interested especially with the much needed ...
