What would be the point of opting out? If the contract is illegal and my advise says that it is, then the contract is void and Worley owes the amount determined by law.

As a union electrician I guess I opt out of overtime pay each time I deploy as an adjuster. As an electrician I get paid well for every hour I work, time and a half and some double time overtime, health insurance, annuity and two pensions (small but real). Still, I only take electrician work with the understanding I will have to quit on a moment's notice when a storm blows.

I can work almost whenever I want as an electrician, but only when they want me as an adjuster. Who knows why I prefer adjusting; I just do! The sheep always thinks the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence. I guess we are all a bit sheepish.
