I have been using Simsol and Xact for years and both have a pdf file option to bundle my package report.

I was blessed with work from a new vendor that requires IC...so I'm getting used to it.  Everything is sent via comcentral, but they want a pdf copy of the file to be sent also.

I need to bundle the caption report, photos, estimate, invoice, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I sort of figured it out. I had a cheap pdf writer and had to upgrade. A little tedious, but I'm just glad to have the work.

I use pdfFactory (the paid version) for that purpose, although there are many others.  You simply print to pdfFactory instead of a printer.  Each print job is added to the end of the file, and you can delete or rearrange pages later.  Name, save and email the resulting report.

I do this with all my claims simply for my own records.  Once the MSB lease runs out the 'evaluation' edition has extremely limited functions.  If for any reason I need to review a claim the estimate, pictures and all related documents are available to me in one place.

There is an open source program available called "pdfsam", which is short for "pdf split and merge".  Since it is open source, it is free to use.  It is pretty straight forward to use, I have been using it about a year now.  Used in conjunction with a free .pdf creator, they satisfy all my pdf needs.

    Just google "pdfsam".

    Hi Ryan,
MSB does have a PDF function built in. When viewing your adjuster summary, you should be able to click on 'file' then 'save as pdf'. For the photos, go in to your 'estimates' tab and click on 'view images'. Make sure the check boxes are all selected; there should be an option for a print preview which you want to select. By clicking on 'print', MSB should bring up a preview with all your photos selected. Again, click 'file' 'save as pdf'.
I do not have my program open in front of me so there may be some minor variations. I hope this helps you.
