I just got a "Job offer" in response to my resume being on this site.  I haven't figured out what exactly they are looking to get out of me, but it would seem identity theft at least, and maybe more direct theft at worst (if I responded and they asked for more info).

I get a lot of these e-mails, as I handle a large volume of e-mail for my company, and several e-mail accounts.  They always stand out to me as the most ridiculous things ever, but I guess enough people fall for them.

I'm guessing that if they really were paying $4000 per month for only 1 hour of work per day, they could find someone more qualified to handle imports/exports, than randomly e-mailing insurance adjusters.   Here's the e-mail:

You know you do not have to disclose your email address anywhere on CADO and unless you post it in your resume or include it in a post on the site it is not viewable by any visitor. And we do not display it or provide access to it. This can be tested, just try to get a member's email address. If you want to reduce spam I recommend that you do not post your email address. CADO hit by all search engines some of them two or three times a day so almost anything posted in the public areas can and may end up in a search engine. Most search engines can read and index pdfs and Office documents. We offer other ways for visitors to contact you, for example if you add your name to the Roster we provide a contact form that protects your email address but allows potential employers to contact you. We also provide a private message system.

I have several emails like this lately. I believe mine came from the Hotjobs or GIJ sight. If rour resume is on one of those sights, be sure make it where no one can see it.

Looks as though Nigerian thugs have found this web site. Take Roy's advice on the subject.

Thanks for the reply.  I wasn't blaming the site though, I was just curious if this was a random thing or if everybody was getting them.  I know that if I want my resume to be visible to other companies, I have to open it up to everybody.  I should have limited the amount of personal info on my resume, but when I went and tried to edit it, I ran into problems.  Maybe I'll try again.
