4 Replies and 12755 Views Pacesetter Claims  12755  4 Started by  catadj2367 I am trying to find out about Pacesetter Claims. I am on their 'stand by list', but have not been called, which is somewhat surprising given my experience. I have not seen Pacesetter mentioned on this site, so I am just wondering if anyone has any information. Does anyone have any experience with them&160; &160;

7 Replies and 6810 Views The next 10 years of cat. adjusting  6810  7 Started by  Ray Hall &160;It seems one estimating program will dominate. This will keep the contractors price 'guides' in line as most controctors will do the work for qualified adjusters who can scope real damage. I think the downside will be the lawyers bringing up price fixing claims. Roof inspections will not be as much danger as roof thumpers will not be needed. More call center adjustments on all type of claims. Travel to risk to settle will not be set in stone. Downward pressure on fee bill,s. More eyeballs...

1 Replies and 3516 Views Louisiana flooding  3516  1 Started by  ChuckDeaton Many of the affected homeowners do not even have federal flood insurance. In Krotz Springs, just 51 of 560 homes there have that coverage, according to a review by the New Orleans Times-Picayune. In nearby Butte LaRose, 80 percent of the homes lack that insurance. Some owners cite the expense, and others just don't expect to get flooded — either because they've raised their homes or have never seen flooding there.

2 Replies and 3479 Views Is there a future for New Orleans and what cost it's death  3479  2 Started by  stormcrow Read the recent aritcle on www.wunderground.com by Dr Masters on the Old Man River Control system. If the system fails and the Mississippi takes a new route to the gulf, what would the impact be.&160;Gas at $6.00 a gallon and&160;shortages off&160;most goods shipped into New Orleans.&160;&160;Would the city and Baton Rouge become ghost towns. The next couple fo weeks should answer this, but it would be a disaster beyond imagination and little or none of it would be covered by insurance.

I've been doing this since 85 and I can't believe the amount of and how wide spread the damage is. It looks like a cat 4 rolled through this place. Half the state got hit. Whole towns are missing. I finally got a generator at my house, cell coverage is spotty at best. My office is located near a hospital so I have internet and a phone. If your heading this way, bring a little gas, food and down...
