I currently hold a Florida All Lines PA License. I heard through the rumor mill that I can also work as an IA in other states. Is this correct Anyone out there know which states Allow this

We all know the forecasts don't always pan out, plus it depends WHERE it hits, but let's assume for a minute that a major hurricane hits south Florida or something. Should that happen, what is the best way to go about getting into CAT adjusting for the storm I've been in insurance restoration for 2 years, and in fact was in Houston for Ike, so I'm familiar with hurricanes, and I use Xactimate. I have read threw some of the post here, man you guys sure are hard on new guys WOW.. I'm sure it has something to do with having to work behind and clean up after some boob, who couldn't tie his own shoe but managed to get an adjuster lic during a horrific storm. I'm an experienced (15years) local, independent property adjuster. I'm interested in making the switch to catastrophe adjuster, and would prefer to work for a large insurance company, rather than being independent. I think so, anyway.

Hi, I live in Southern Calif. and have been a general contractor for 28 yrs and in construction for 35. I worked with an adjuster in 2003 after a firestorm wiped out a clients home. He had been a contractor and planted the seed that becomming an insurance adjuster was something I might want to consider when the knees start to give out. Well, that time has come.
