2 Replies and 5502 Views Nationwide  5502  2 Started by  jstock Just curious. Anyone currently working Nationwide as a field IA: What are your thoughts/recommendations How do they compare w/others you've worked for (fee schedule, general treatment, ease/difficulty in file accpetance, etc). How are they on roofs, high/steep, use of Eagleview/similar (State Farm and Allstate now provide E-view, no charge to IA)... Jared.

6 Replies and 5825 Views The TDI in Tex  5825  6 Started by  Ray Hall Now has the management of TWIA and the Fair plan. The recent rule will change wind /roof claims for these two carriers and all carriers in TX. I remember the ruling in 1991 that all comp. roofs had to removed before going back with new shingles and then ruled that removal was not betterment or subject to depreciation as it was all one operation. Well this new ruling will cost billions more over the years. An unsealed shingle is prima facia evidence &160;of direst wind damage that has to be rep...

1 Replies and 7072 Views GA / EGA Value  7072  1 Started by  hundreddollars As an experienced GA / EGA (Structural and Multi Occupancy Building) I find that carriers are willing to pay pretty much whatever you are worth when the feces hits the rotary oscillator.&160; I have also found that when the carrier goes through the inevitable post-catastrophe business model re-evaluation, the carrier generally determines that the last catastrophe has taught them so much that they can create an in-house EGA that they themselves can train based on the data that they have stored o...

What we ponder and what we think about sets the course of our life. Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish, we can start a new activity. Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year. We can also choose to be condescending, selfish, and critical of others, which creates or constructs nothing positiv...

Verified by the carrier that the claims I worked for C&S Claim Service fee bills were paid to C&S (no revisions needed), and Verified by the insureds that they were paid on their claims, I still have not been paid my 65 fee bills.  Richard Kramer talked a lot about Integrity and Doing the Right Thing by paying adjusters quickly, but has YET to pay me or even return a phone call to me.   Pretty aweful way to treat people.    God is watching you, Mr. Kramer or is i...

2 Replies and 2922 Views Snow in the Rockies ,Elk hunting time again  2922  2 Started by  Goldust Well the forecast is for a little cooler temps and some nice moisture coming in from Seattle. That is the formula for tracking the elusive Wapiti(elk). We have a ranch we go hunting on here in the later part of the season and this is the time of the year when the elk show up in the bottom on the ranch. I will keep you abreast of how it turns out if we are lucky enough to get meat in the freezer.
