My Insurance Repair Database 5821 2
Started by Jgoodman
Years ago I wrote a DOS estimating system.&160; I recently retrieved all rights and license to my old system.
I posted a link to the scope sheets awhile back at www.stormcentral.com/scopesheets.
The database that those sheets referenced is located here www.thedatacloset.com.
I was working on this back at the beginning of the year, when work was slow.&160; I have not messed with it in months, since I am now very busy.&160; But I thought some people might find it interesting.

Introducing CADOScope, a smart phone app 6363 8

&160;Many visitors may know of our CADOgrams - Ready Made Roof Diagrams, well we have been working on a smart phone app that will identified hail damage on a comp roof, including built-up and modified roofing. &160;We will provide photos later this week, but in short the way it works is the adjuster will create a test square on the roof using a fluorescent chalk, pink seems to work the best&160;and &160;then use the camera in the smart phone to take a picture of the test square. &160;The CA...

Keeping tuned up on XM8 4927 1
Started by Goldust
I was wondering what you folks out there do to keep tuned up on XM8 until you get deployed so you can use it in real time.
I have been using the demo almost everyday and writing estimates to try and stay in tune wit the program. I have used XM8 this year on a small handful of real claims but that does not help to retain all this program has to offer ,especially XM8 27.

Diagram or sketch 18064 21
Started by OdieWyatt
Can anyone recommend a good, basic, one-dimensional drawing program I am looking for something cheap to draw roof diagrams, liability scene layouts, etc. I use XM8 sketch for the estimate, but I need something similar to PowerClaims drawing program (without paying a yearly fee) that has their type features. I don't need (or want) to draw a 3-D buildings. Any ideas
FYI, I use and recommend PDF factory and MyFax.

Anyone using EzBidWin ? 5132 1

Hi all,
I am the software developer who wrote EzBidWin, the Windows version of the old, popular EzBid Claim application.
I would like to check if there is anyone who knows this program, and who might have an interest in it
Even if I wrote the software, I'm not its owner, I developed it for the owner, Mr Sidney Morrison from dTailTech
Please let me know about this. I would like to check if there is interest in this software. I'm in very good relations with the owner, and if there are some int...

My old DOS estimating system's scope sheets 10037 11
Started by Jgoodman
In May of 1988, I got my first job out of Virginia Tech writing accounting software for a very small software company in Virginia Beach, VA. The company wrote custom software for several industries, including job cost accounting for the construction industry. One of the clients for the accounting software was a fire restoration contractor. The restoration contractor had hired a couple of programmers to write him an estimating system. They proved not up to the task, so my ...

I'm looking for options that go beyond just backups, I want to be able to give a client access to their 'folder' on a read-only basis (maybe allow them to save documents into the folder).
This would address some issues I have with large drawings and other large files that are a pain to e-mail.
Have you looked at any internet hosting services that would allow you to save/retr...
