First major deployment of the 2007 Cane Season, what will it mean? 7626 22

I have some concerns about the first major deployment this season, will it be too little too late Of course that depends on the size of the cane and where it hits. So many adjusters could be deployed in an effort to get as many out as possible that the claim count per adjuster would be very low and some may in fact lose money if they are not careful. From the stats that are published here, we have over 10,000 registered members/guests. And yet the majority are non -paying guests who have only privileges to access our open forums.
There is some really good inside information which needs to be disseminated. This is contained in the "Adjusters Den" which is accessible by the paying members only.

Hi guys! I've been lurking on this board for a while.
I got my TX adjusting license a few months ago. Attended classes for adjusting and Xactimate. I've done the Citizen's certification.
I keep seeing ads for "Daily Claims". I've applied and not heard anything other than thank you and you are on our roster.
So what does it take to finally get started Is it really just a waiting game for a hurricane Any suggestions

I have deleted this post because obviously there are those who have misplaced their sense of humor. But I have to say that I really don't appreciate being accused of being unprofessional. You know nothing about my professionalism.
Is it more appropriate or professional to accuse someone of being unprofessional over what clearly is good natured teasing of an associate than it is to give a colleague a bit of ribbing in a public forum

I believe that the claims industry can be very misleading to most outsiders because it has all of the outward appearances of a blue collar job when in fact it is truly not.

A friend/ adjuster told me recently that during 05' storm season, Florida Citizens was requiring it's adjusters (incl. independ.) to research the insureds history and past photos to make sure that damages that were paid for previously aren't paid again. His complaint was the fact that it took so much more time to process a claim by doing all the extra research. Has anyone else encountered this situation or did I maybe misunderstand what he was saying

Is color taken into account, when roofing tile needs to be replaced
I have a customer with a tile roof, that is no longer manufactured. All of the salvage yards have been searched, and the tile or accesories are not available.
The carrier claims color doesn't matter, and suggest using a completely different product . Also they only want to replace 30 foot of ridge. This means the homeowner will have 2 different types of ridge.

I am bored. Anyone have any interesting accidents on the job Last week with my FatMAx i nearly sliced my finger to the bone when retracting it and not paying attention.
On several occasions while on a roof, my tape measure has fallen off of my pants, bounced off of the roof, and almost smashed a window out of an insd's car. I have got lucky so far and have never actually hit anything. Anyone ever hit a car with their tape measure

I was talking to some teams that adjust claims together about how they help each other and one team indicated that they would get help from their partner who was at home or some other location by using Go To Mypc. One example was were the person was on the storm site and while they were out making inspections the partner would connect to the laptop from home and work on the estimates, photos and so on. I work for a smaller adjusting company. Before 2005 we had about 15 adjusters and I made pretty good money each year off of a few small storms. If there was a hurricane then that was an added bonus and I had a great year. After the hurricanes in 2005, my company hired an additional 30 or so new adjusters-anyone that wanted to work because the claims were there.
