Landlord's Apartment Contents Values - friction? 2329 8
Started by nixonjf
I'm trying to work through issues with value reporting for owners of apartment complexes.
For contents, they frequently report $0 or a very low figure (say $5,000) for the values for the entire complex.
The office has desks, chairs, computers, etc. There is typically some exercise equipment, common laundry, and maintenance tools/equipment someplace. The units themselves have a set of appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, range, micowave, and some basic window coverings.
I run into a lot of ap...

So, there I was on my neighbors roof replacing three wind damaged shingles. I&160;come inside to find all kinds of changes here in the forums. I take it Roy lost his temper with Olegred and the bickering Wow!
But, back to the roofing. This roof was installed in the late summer of 1996 and is a 20yr rated 3 tab. The minor wind damage from HERMINE resulted in three shingles needing to be replaced along with two others with the seals loosened. The felt was intact. This is a typical wind loss we ...

GPS tracking devices 3046 19

Recently a vendor I know of promised the company that all the adjusters working the storm (on a day rate) would have GPS tracking devices so the company could tell where the adjusters were at any time. Although this did not happen this time, the idea is on the table.
Would you work for a vendor that wanted to track you&160; Do you want the company knowing where and when you are.&160;
I would have declined the assignment over this. But would you

In the end, I realize only I can make this call, but some advice would be appreciated.

Questions about the claim adjuster business 16355 68
Started by JHoward23
I just graduated college with an insurance degree, and got married 2 months ago....I have a few questions that I wanted to ask current adjusters. Are you away from home a lot, and for how long on average are you away from home Are you gone 4 days out of the week, etc... And in a few years we plan on having children, any adjusters with families; how often do you see your children Is the money worth the travel I'm new to this and the amount of time spent away from home is a concern of mine.

Lots of new people could get hooked up on their first storm, if they can write an estimate. Use your own house. Your house and all the contents was blown off the foundation by a tornado. Total destruction on a HO-3. Estimate by using the 30 day xmate program and send to ever vendor on this site. If you can do that you will stand out.......... IF YOU CAN NOT DO THIS, you are not qualified to be called. It may take 2-3 weeks to get it right, but its at your own speed. Learn xmate first, OR do the ...

Sumps 2500 6

Hey everyone, curious about your take(s) on a sump and related equipment...
One of the most common events for water related losses is when a sump pump fails. Water overflows and inundates a basement with water. Well, what if there is no pump That leaves us with only 'a sump'. I did some dictionary pulling and found that the raw definition for a sump (en.wiktionary.org/wiki/sump) is 1. a hollow or pit into which liquid drains, such as a cesspool, cesspi...
