Is there any adjusters that would like to assemble a group of adjusters to be trained in Simsol. The more that join the cheaper it is for all.

SIMSOL VS XACTIMATE 61370 67
Started by ekraft
I have been an XACT user for a number of years.&160; Started doing some daily claims for a vendor and one client insists on SIMSOL program. ( I log on to their remote computer to write estimates)&160; Boy is it easy to learn and very 'adjuster' oriented.&160; No one in my neck of the woods uses Simsol.&160; If it weren't for the carriers who send me claims via XACT, think I would switch to SIMSOL.&160; Cost prohibitive at this point.&160; Would have to install program on a separate laptop ...

Simsol for Daily Claims 4944 1
Started by jennrhot
I am relatively new to the adjusting world. I have been doing CAT work and now daily claims for a company that uses Simsol exclusively. Does anyone know of any other companies that I can apply to for daily work that utilize Simsol. I have found it to be very user friendly and would rather stick to one software program as I develop myself into a better adjuster. I understand that Xactimate is the preferred software and I am level 1 certified with it, however I much prefer ...

Simsol V4 6185 2
Started by TMan
&160;Simsol,
A feature was disabled from V3 to V4 that is affecting my work flow. &160;In v3 I would preview my assembled file. &160;Once satisfied I would 'save as' a pdf to the desired location.
The 'save as' feature is disabled in v4. &160;Now after previewing I have to close preview, return to global print screen, switch from preview to PDF, choose desired location proceed.
This represents several additional steps over the previous linear work flow I was accustomed to in v3.

New Adjuster Short Form Report 5269 0
Started by johnpostava
We have had several recent requests for a new adjuster 'short form' report for smaller losses where a full captioned narrative is not needed.&160; Anyone have a good template they wounld not mind sharing&160; We can&160;build a form that autofills the loss&160;and estimate info and leave the&160;adjuster ample space to write a short narrative of the loss.&160; &160; If we use it, I'll send you some SIMSOL&160;Goodies....

This is the first time I have visited CADO in 2010.&160; Had some elective surgery in late December and ran into a glitch that kept me down for over a month.&160; All is well now and back at work (Arrrrrrr!).&160; Cat work is slow but Spring is around the corner and dreams of hail and flood (if the NE&160;snow melts fast!!!) are dancing in my head!!!.&160; To all seasoned cat folks - keep the faith and know that work is just a few months away.

Simsol Heavy Commercial Database 9190 8
Started by R_Smith
I am working on a project expanding the use of adjusters within the government recovery effort. I am in our second trial with great support from the government, but Xactimate has decided not to support us on this trial. I have never used Simsol, but would like to hear more about the program and just how robust is their heavy commercial database. We look at educational facilities ( public schools & colleges ), city facilities and state agencies. A...

Simsol Coverage Setup 6480 3
Started by Rscotth45
Hello all,
I have been using Simsol for quite a few years now adjusting flood claims. I recently took a class for a different estimating software and one of the things that was taught was defining and using subcoverages. I know that in Simsol you can define a subcoverage but I have yet to find out how to actually use this subcoverage. What I am trying to do is define a subcoverage of coverage B for the special limits on a flood claim and have those Simsol specify those limits in the esitmate. I...

Tutorials For Simsol? 9466 3

I am having to start using Simsol for a new customer and I used it years ago as a DOS program.&160; It uses the same basic format but is more Windows oriented and doing the estimate is pretty straight forward.&160; I downloaded the 30 day trial and there was a short 'Getting Started' tutorial but it didn't cover the Diagrams or Photos very well.&160; The download page refers to the Getting Started tutorial and a different tutorial but only the basic one is there to download.&160; Is there so...

Carrier Forced Pricing in Property Claims 16276 26
Started by johnpostava
The news wire just released a story about a fairly large restoration company in Denver being sued by the state for&160;'fraud' because their pricing was 20-30 above what the insurance carriers wanted to pay for repairs to damaged structures.&160; In the words of a popular news anchor, 'I may not be a restoration contractor but I am a thinker', so what the state is telling contractors, if you don't match the prices being offered by insurance companies to do the repairs to a building, you will ...

We have all lost one of our own this past weekend. Wendy Baran, one of the best flood adjusters and people I have ever had the priviledge to know passed away this past weekend. Need some help concerning the use of the A6 Disto with Simsol.
When a dimension is transferred to the highlighted length of the room the number of feet is in the length and the inches flows to the width measurement.

Results after transfer: &160;Length is 8’ 0.00”

Ike Pricing for Texas and Louisiana 4276 0
Started by johnpostava
We would like to use this thread as a clearing house for repair pricing in the Ike-affected areas. Early indications that common item pricing is remaining steady. Housing and remodeling were way down prior to the storm indicating no inital major increase in labor costs. Inland material suppliers are up and running and materials are in good supply indicating no jump in material pricing. All indications point to no shift in repair costs at this point. However, that could change. As CAD...

SIMSOL/PENPRO COMPATABILITY ISSUE 7085 4
Started by ekraft
I have been an Xact user for years and downloaded the 30-day trial of Simsol.&160; Installed it and started to familiarize myself with its components.&160; Then, I needed to use Penpro also to write a vehicle estimate.&160; Would not work.&160; Apparently, Penpro and Simsol use a similar databse engine and Simsol prevented Penpro from running.&160; I had to&160; uninstall Simsol and delete a command line in the MDE Administrator in order to get Penpro to run again.&160; Any idea on how to...
