I have just been informed about the passing of a long time Cat Adjuster and a Life Member of CatAdjuster.org, Chuck Deaton. Lee Cupps, my father passed away on 5/3/2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was in the Army for 20 years and after he retired from the Army he entered the Insurance Claims Industry becoming an adjuster and was in that industry for over 30 years. I received a letter from John's wife, Rochelle, with the news that John had passed away in late July. Many of us who knew and worked with John referred to him fondly as the 'Colonel.' John retired from the Army, worked as State Farm staff and then for many years for Crawford & Company. John was a great friend and mentor to many of us. I just found out that a long time CADO member and adjuster Russ Doe pass away on 12/11/2015. He helped me with the CADO Conventions in 2000 and 2001. We have lost another one of our own. David DeVille, EGA who was a part of Engle Martin when they formed, has died in a freak drowning accident in Hawaii. He was 48 years old. He also worked for Crawford & Company. David owned and operated Professional Loss Adjusters in Scottsdale, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Blake. David had no children. Due to the logistics, David was cremated and timing for a ceremony have not been set.

With great sadness, I share the news of the death of my friend and our colleague, Cheryl Robinson. Cheryl had been struggling against cancer for several years, and finally succumbed to liver cancer in her sleep last night. Many will remember her as a cat supervisor for GAB Robins, and more recently Cunningham Lindsey. Cheryl, you will be greatly missed.

Someone sent me Ray Hall's obituary that was in the newspaper recently and right about now I could be knocked down with a&160;feather.

For those of you who have worked with Duncan and his wife, you know he was a great person and adjuster. Hard working, funny and always had a great positive attitude. During the hurricane Ike cat, he was bitten by something on his eye and it swelled up so bad that we were all able to convince him finally to go to the emergency room, where he was filled up with antibiotics and his eye covered with an eye patch. Our friend and fellow adjuster, Tom Swanson, passed away this morning near Hartford, Connecticut, while on assignment. Tom has work for Crawford & Company many years. I had the pleasure of working with Tom over the last seven years. He was one of the hardest working adjusters I have ever known with the biggest 'can do' attitude.
I do not have any further information at this time but will post when available.

Bill Knarr passed away from cancer in June 2011. I worked with Bill at TWIA in 2008-2009 and came like Bill very much and appreciate his knowledge and experience. Bill was a true CAT War Horse of the old school. He is missed by many and my condolences go out to his family and most of all to his dear wife Patty Knarr.
