With great sadness, I share the news of the death of my friend and our colleague, Cheryl Robinson. Cheryl had been struggling against cancer for several years, and finally succumbed to liver cancer in her sleep last night. Many will remember her as a cat supervisor for GAB Robins, and more recently Cunningham Lindsey. Cheryl, you will be greatly missed. Whilst I did NOT know Cheryl, I am far too familiar with losing someone to cancer. With regard to my better half a few years back, my ONLY comfort (if that is even possible during these moments) was that she was no longer suffering. I hope that gives Cheryl's friends and family some comfort during this most heartbreaking time. My husband and I just finished working with Cheryl on Hurricane Sandy. She was an amazing woman, great to work with, and always willing to help! I personally spoke to Cheryl about 2 weeks ago. She told me that she was a Christian, that she knew she was going to Heaven, and that she was at peace with her life. The adjusting community has a new angel in Heaven to walk over all of us climbing those roofs, driving unknown roads, and dealing with challenging insureds. She was an amazing woman! I can't wait to see her again one day!
