Desk Assignments 4363 3

Is it common for someone from a conracting firm to contact an adjuster about a possible desk assignment that would not take place for possibly another month I have tried following up on this and I never hear back from this person - they won't respond to my emails or return my phone calls and they're the ones that contacted me to begin with. Is this common

SF Measuring Tech 3353 0
Started by MARodriguez
I am studying for the SF Estimatics Exam. I have the study guide but it is pretty vague at best. It is obvious that they have a set format for measuring and calculating LF and SF. Who or where is the best place to go so that I may know ahead of time how they expect calculations to be done. Also, I hear that the SF exam is multiple choice. Are the options for answers pretty obvious or do they make it where it has to be exact &...

best mentor in GA? where are you? 3830 5
Started by reuben_foster
I am currently seeking a mentor that will allow me to ride along with them so that I will gain the PROPER knowledge/training from an experienced adjuster. I have a GA resident, and TX All Lines license. I have been deployed with Pilot years ago, but as an AA, so I have never seen field work. I know basics to the insurance industry but never trained on the intricate ways of being a good CAT adjuster.
I live in metro Atlanta but am willing to travel within reason. If you can assist in anyway, ple...

Centralized Claims Centers 3269 1
Started by mbradbury
I have 8 years in the business and honestly prefer inside adjusting. So I'm curious to know what carriers are using the centralized claims center model (call center if you must) and which IA firms are using them.
I'll start the conversation by my contribution. Here is the list I know of...
State Farm has centers in Jacksonville, FL, Dallas, TX, and Frederick, MD and for firms they use Pilot, Renfroe, Worley, and Eberls.
Allstate uses Pilot, and the last time I was aware the IAs we...

This class is a must take course for the new adjuster or the experienced adjuster. Craig taught my class, and act...

State Farm Certification 12408 8
Started by jdbehm
I've been considering taking some of the insurance certification courses (State Farm, AmFam, MetLife, Liberty Mutual, etc.)
It seems like most of them--particularly State Farm is only offered in the south...like Dallas or Louisiana.
Questions:
1. Worth my time to do this It seems like it is almost mandatory, correct
2. Does anyone know of any upcoming State Farm or AmFam&160;certification classes offered in the midwest
3. Do only 'big vendors'&160;(like Worley and Pilot) offer them or ...

I am very familiar with xactimate but still don't think that I could do a hand written claim. I was hoping to find something on the web about integra claims so that I could see how it is filled out.
