OK this will rake up some muck.  If call yourself a catastrophe adjuster and do not know the differance between wind and flood damage.... you are an imposter.. I did not say you needed to be an expert qualified to testify for the insuror( PE degree) just that you are confident in your investigation and recommend some backup support.

IMHO.... That stands for  In my honest opinion.... So here goes

Youre reference to me as an imposter is unfounded. Youre constant ramblings about FICUS and in addition all of the narrow minded views you air out on this site is tiresome. I do not have youre 50 or 60 or whatever it is years of experience handling large complex commercial losses. However if you feel I am an imposter as a Catadjuster I will offer this.

When our next large Cat Event takes place I will go toe to toe at scoping ,writing, and closing claims with you all day long. These claims will be handled  without the assistance of a bunch of underlings running around with a tape measurer and a digital cam.

I hate to be abrasive but with  thecomment about me being an imposter youre intentions were very clear. It was a very direct shot over my bow and was not taken litely.

Mark,

I don't think Ray's comments were directed at you personally.  I read it as simply that any adjuster who can't tell the difference between wind and flood is an imposter.  Am I right, Ray?

I guess we are getting those hot beds of conversations/contentions now that it is June. : ) At least CADO Chat was hopping tonight more than I have witnessed in the past three months.

This was not addressed to any particular roof adjuster. On the next major wave wash event, just tell the vendor you do not know the differance and would like several hundred roof claims 50 miles from the coast.

I would not insult any very good adjuster working alone who can do catastophe claims to the carriers specifications and make a good living. I just think you are not working to your full potential unless you can train and incourage others with less knowledge and your ability to assist your in reaching your maximun potential by not expending some of your energy doing  any  task that could be delagated.

It was my thought that when you directed the question specifically to the restoration people it was to determine what the method of mitigation would be needed for salvaging the contents. In my comment I was simply stating that with a water depth of 14'"that it would not be possible to save or restore the contents to the pre loss conditions. There fore the contents would be a total loss

It appears I should have read youre post more closely .
