The siding has not been compromised but there is hail splatters  Is there a way to remove the splaters without replacing the siding?

Paint seems to be the obvious choice.

Wait, it is probably just oxidation and will fade in time.  If it isn't broken, it shouldn't be damaged.

Power washing is used on fences to remove the hail "splatter" when there's no damage to the wood. I wonder if HardiPlank would stand up to the same process.

On a similar subject, I handled a claim in the Dallas area for hail damage to Hardi Plank shingles. I rang the bell for the largest claim $ on that particular storm.

Just a real simple query "if you will" to your comment that if it isn't broken, it isn't damaged. Are you sure you wanna stand by that?

The answer is whatever the carrier wants to allow for the "damage".  Each carrier needs to be consistent in how they view damage and settle the claims. Personally, I don't believe power washing is a "repair" method, but a cleaning process. So, with that in mind, if one was to allow to powerwash siding due to hail spatter, then, would it be a regular claim if a neighbor hit the house with a ball and left the same type of mark on the wall.  The hail didn't damage the product or the true finish of that product.  When hail leaves spatter marks to the same oxidation on shingles, would you powewash the roof?

The Hardie plank siding should be power washed before the application of a a top quality 100% acrylic latex exterior paint. The insured should check
for the warranty on the siding for reimbursement. Make sure this is hail damage related before committing to any coverage. It is obvious you find out
when the siding was installed which will help you on determining it is hail damage.
