My suggestion would be the nearest Wal-Mart.

Let me ask some probing questions. Would you happen to be married to 'Carrie the Fire Starter' from the movie in 1976 named 'Carrie'? Do you have an adopted son named 'Damien" who is the son of Satan and has to wear asbestos diapers? Are you related to the Hawaian God of Volcanoes, 'Pele", who likes to visit his relations with a little hot gift from the home islands?

Is your name now well known to all the homeowner underwriters in the world? Actually, thru the blessings of CLUE, (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange), you are now.

If someone named Strom burned your house down, then I would suggest an arson investigation. I'm sorry. I normally do not like messing with others, but the Ghost does so with subtleness and humor, which I so greatly enjoy.

Are you looking for a mentor or someone to fight the insurance companies. Try googling "public adjusters Texas".

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Why would you need to fight Fisher Price on a house fire? Your Ins. Co. would just attempt subrogation if they felt it would be possible or worth their time and money. Now if injuries were involved, I'm sorry, then I could understand going after Fisher Price. Other than that you would only be due the deductible which I could not see an attorney making much money on such a case thus not being worth his time.

    Dillon ,
At least two of us have given you a hard time concerning your spelling.  Please if you get into this field use spell check and correct your previous errors when it is pointed out.  When you write a sentence please make sure that it makes sense.  The last post that you made does not make sense.

Wardlaw is a good company from my understanding however remember that Texas and Florida are the two states with the most Adjusters.  What does this mean?  Unless you have a good hook-up or experience you will most likely sit and wait on the next Katrina, or 4 in '04 before you are able to work in this field.  Even Wardlaw will most likely not put you to work on Daily or smaller storms over established adjusters that have been on their rosters for a longer time.  When their is a major storm you will need all of your equipment bought ,packed, and loaded as well as several Thousand dollars to cover your expenses until and if your first check comes in from your vendor approximately one month into the storm.
I don't know your age or your education level so I will tell you.  If you are not too old that an insurance company might not want to hire you and have a college degree your best bet would be to go directly to work for an insurance company.  This will give you the experience and education that you will need without the expense from your pocket.  This will also most likely keep you closer to home for your obviously young child(ren).
