Yeah, with a JATO you wouldn't even need a ladder anymore.

A jet backpak  with ladder attachment would work even better. At least that would give you directional control.

I don't see what the big deal is.

I went to that website and read it. That Adjuster Cindy looks like she knows what she's talking about.

This one's for you, Huskercat.

This may be strike one for me.

Dogs Can Do It Too!

   DSCF6440.JPG

Do you see the picture?  Do you see the look of canine delight?  It's so easy my dog can do it.  Do you see my dog on a roof?  All it needs is a tape measure and it can make $100,000.00 a year![/quote]

I've seen that house.    Where have I seen that house?  I know I've seen that house.
Do you guys ever find yourself thinking this?  I have so many houses in my brain, that I get Dejavu sometimes.  Certain houses will pop into my mind out of the clear blue, as if it was yesterday.

Adjuster Cindy,

I find your advertisement to be AT THE PRESENT TIME predatory. The industry had a large influx of "adjusters" that had very little knowledge of construction and almost no knowledge of policy and its application to loss situations. I have cleaned up this mess for a long time and only hope that in the future our industry will continue to find real talent.
Had you marketed this product in September of '05 I would have no issue due to demand for our services outstripping its supply and the low level of expectation at the time.
Given the present state of the industry and its fragile reputation over the years I ask you to reconsider your endeavour. It was enough to have "newbies" without policy knowledge jumping roofs over the past few storms, I do not wish to see this situation arise in the future. If you are to market this product I ask that you do so with integrity and to be sure that what you are offering is of substantial value. Let us not degrade our industry, business, and market any more than it appears that it may have already endured.

Ha Ha. That's funny.

I'm sorry, Dee. I can't stand idly by and let such a ridiculous comment such as that one go unanswered.

Predatory? Excuse me for a moment while I roll on the floor laughing.

I've thought for years that adjusting as an industry needed a shot in the arm. It's a great profession to be in (or are you in it because it's a horrible profession and you are just really masochistic?).

I don't know if you have signed up for Cindy's daily e-mails, but I have. And from what I have seen, she knows what she is talking about. And the information she gives out is very useful stuff that many newbies don't know.

I don't know if you have thoroughly read her website, but I have. Again, I'll tell you what I found - someone in the know, offering useful, practical, valuable advice.

Are you perturbed by the fact that Adjuster Cindy is trying to profit from teaching interested people how to get into this business?

Should we now lynch Coca-Cola because they try to profit selling things that people want? Are you upset that she is making money while she is helping people? Perhaps you suppose charging people for a valuable product or service is evil?

All the talk of unprofessionalism above - I see nothing on Adjuster Cindy's website, or in her e-mails to warrant or justify such a label.

Shame on you.

Let's not be so pessimistic.

Let's bring as many new people into the profession as possible and make sure they are trained up the way they ought to be.

Good day, Sir.

Roy, (who ever you are?) you are welcome to (Adjuster?) Cindy and her world of wisdom. If she can seperate you from some of your cash, good for her. She will also seperate more wantabees from their money, only a few will make anything back. Many companies did that in 2006, would be interesting to know how much was spent by people trying to get into the industry and how many of them have moved on to the next dream. Cindy's approach and advertising lacks the professionalism that many dream this industry has. (not to be confused with those who adjust in a professional manner). I would rank her advertising down with "head on" commericals.

Roy, the complaint about Cindy's advertisement was the way she presented it, not the content. It is similar to many of the sensationalism advertising on TV and in magazines. Get rich quick. That does not apply to this profession. She may have a needed product and if advertised correctly, she could have material that would be an asset to adjusting, but with that type of advertisement, she is way off base.

Roy, I shall refrain from attacking your professionalism or drive as I do not know you personally and I feel approaching a discussion in that manner is detrimental to the dialogue. Let me restate two topics that I believe you missed in my earlier posting. First and foremost I disagree with the PRESENTATION as noted by many others. This, however, requires no elaboration as I feel that it has been discussed enough. My second point is in reference to my comment that gave you such great laughter: I find this solicitation to be AT THE PRESENT TIME predatory. Let me elaborate. The supply of adjusters currently outstrips the demand and if anyone does not believe this call on one of your many associates and ask them how business is but remember supplements do not count (if you are not familiar with the term supplement please read on) I only speak of new claims. Therefore, the implication that the advertisement makes is misleading. Your posting ended with “Let's bring as many new people into the profession as possible and make sure they are trained…” but I question the proposition that a book could accomplish this. I ask that anyone currently making an effort to enter this profession please seek out the most reputable and hands on training you can possibly find. Ask some of the older members or just surf the sight, it is full of valuable knowledge and most importantly it is FREE.  I generally prefer to just read the forums, however I feel strongly about the subject and do not wish to have others view us as anything less than professional, just my opinion.

Adjuster Cindy has cleaned up her ad. I was going to take a Quote from her for another post and referred??? to it about the time that roy dude made his first post. I originally thought he was a stooge for her trying to draw attention to her revised ad. He evidently as well as Dees may not have seen the original web sight.  The other replies should have made roy question that there is more going on than what he has read.

Since I started this thread it has served its purpose. I feel any further discussion is redundant  and give my vote to locking it as anyone that visits Adjuster Cindy's web site will not understand what the fuss is about. Which may be roy's case instead of a case of stupid is as stupid does.
