When you get right down to the root of the meaning of the word "succeed," you find that it simply means to follow through.

I have been very sick the past two weeks but am gaining ground the past few days. Thanks to those of you who displayed concern.

The secret of success is consistency of purpose.

Life is like a ten-speed bike.  Most of us have gears we never use.

THE VALUE OF TIME

To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
Who has given birth to
A premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize                               
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
You can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.
 

Use what talents you possess:  the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.

Determination gives you the resolve to keep going in spite of the roadblocks that lay before you. You can't go wrong with determination and perseverence combined.

You never will be the person you can be if pressure, tension and discipline are taken out of your life.

True happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and choice.

The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work.  Hard work is the price we must pay for success.  You can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price. Are you willing to do that?

The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.

I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue 'Service'

Restoration 'Service'

U.S. Postal 'Service'

Telephone 'Service'

Claim 'Service'

Cable TV 'Service'

Civil 'Service'

State, City, County & Public 'Service'

Customer 'Service'

This is not what I thought 'Service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows.
BAM!!! It all came into focus.

Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

You are now as enlightened as I am.

Nature gave us two ends: one to sit on and one to think with.
 Ever since then, man's success or failure has been dependent on the one he used most.



Determination gives you the resolve to keep going in spite of the roadblocks that lay before you.

Gloom we have always with us, a rank and sturdy weed, but joy requires tending.

If your sunshine wants far outstrip your cold morning desire, have a talk with yourself. Then have a lot more talks with yourself. Convince number one that you can succeed--and you will succeed. If you don't believe in you, why should anyone else?

Choices are the hinges of destiny.  Make them carefully and wisely.
