Its that time again! Need to do my CE hours for my TX License. Quick question. Can I take the same WebCe courses I took back in 2006 to renew my license for 2008? I do not see anything on the site stating you cant. Just want to be sure before I buy the course.

I think you will be safe to go back to the same company you used last time. As you are aware you do dont have to submit the proof of CE UNTIL you are ask. I have never heard of any adjuster being ask to submit proof. Not to say it has never been done. The good new is after 20 years you do not have to take CE courses.

I am thinking about some correspondence training for adjusters who just want to learn from reading old files that have been closed by adjusters with many years experience. The files would be very detailed with a long narrative report in caption formats, I2V, co-insurance work ups, excess of primary, excess of deductible and so forth. My thinking is each file would be in PDF format and would be much much less than a one, two or three day school. Please contact me and I will determine if this worth my time. I probably could get Texas CE of 1 hour per file, but the files will not be able to be resold.

Rob, it is my understanding that you cannot use the same courses within a four year period. In other words, you cannot take the same 30 hr courses every renewal. I think I got that from the TDI website, I had the same question and looked it up.

I got this response from WebCE:

Yes you are correct, for TX you are allowed to repeat courses every renewal period. You cannot take the same course within the same biennial reporting period. Therefore the courses that you took in 2006 you could take again in 2008 because it's for a different renewal period. You took the courses for your 2006 renewal and then you could, if you wanted to, take them again for your 2008 renewal period

Also, through WebCE, if you need CE's in other states, check with Web CE to see if the same courses are allowed in the other states.  I took some of their courses for CE's for one state, and with an additional fee, got the same CE's in the other states too.
