    C'mon cez,

Couldn't you think of a harder question to ask?  If you had asked where in the Fargo area, that would have been tough.

Arlington, Texas, is the location of one of only three Vale locations.  Vale offers the California Earthquake Authority certification class.  You have to be sponsored, so get in touch with the cat company for which you work and have them sponsor you.

State Farm certification requires an IRT presentation, usually offered at State Farm regional offices.  The last I knew there was a regional office in either Plano or Denton.  Again, you need to be sponsored by a company that does State Farm work.  After attending the presentation, you need to take a test or tests to show competency.  The last time I took one of these it was at a Sylvan Learning Center, several of which are located around Dallas.  My information about State Farm certification goes back a few years so the best thing to do is contact a company that does State Farm work (e.g. Eberls, Renfroe, Pilot) and inquire there about the certification.

    Hi,
This October, I got my State Farm certification through Worley Company. My understanding is State Farm offers this 1 day course
via satellite four times a year. You can sign up through Worley then take the 1 day satellite course in Dallas. To prepare for the exam, I also took a 2 day review course through Worley in Hammond, LA then the third day we took the exam which I would definitely recommend.

I just completed the 3 week property adjusting course through Vale National at their Arlington, TX location. After doing some research I was told this was the place to go and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Vale and the course. While I was there I did asked them when they would be offering the next Earthquake certification in Arlington and they thought the beginning of next year. I did notice on their website that they offer the course in December at their Fresno, CA location.
Concerning the sponsorship, you need to pay with a company or LLC check. I had a friend who has a LLC and so they sponsored me and wrote the check for the course. Everyone else in the course who was paying their own way seem to do the same thing. The sponsorship rule is for auditing purposes. You do not actually need a CAT company to sponsor you. Just wanted to clarify that since I noticed someone had suggested that.
I understand their are many other companies you can go through to get your earthquake/State Farm certification  personally I have not gone through them so I just wanted to pass along information on the companies I have gone through. Good Luck!
