It's been said that the only constant is change. I don't agree with that. There's another constant, and that's the desire for change.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Make sure that your actions and behaviors live up to and reflect the words and ideas, promises and commitments that come out of your mouth. When you commit to a vendor, stay with that commitment. Jumping ship because someone else has offered you a little more will catch up with you, then no one will want to hire you.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Until one is committed
There is hesitancy, the chance to draw back,
Always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation),
There is one elementary truth,
The ignorance of which kills countless ideas
And splendid plans: That the moment one definitely commits oneself,
Then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one
That would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision
Raising in one's favor all manner
Of unforeseen incidents and meetings
And material assistance,
Which no man could have dreamt
Would have come his way.
I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it."
W.H. Murray, from The Scottish Himalayan Expedition
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Tom this is so true based my personal experience. Experiencing the results of forces that we can not see or touch physically can not leave one unchanged. Seeing your dreams unfold that you know is not due to who you are or of your own abilities while yet others are you are telling you that they will never happen can make one a believer in what W.H. Murray wrote it the above quote. I have been blessed and continued to be blessed by my wife and kids, staff, customers, investors and even strangers that have gone so far beyond what I could have ever envisioned to make the impossible happen. There is no earthly explanation for what happens when a full commitment is made in my experience. I have to admit that years ago my belief system would have tempted me to toss this kind talk into the BS trash can. After many years and many experiences I know what W.H. Murray spoke of is factual yet I still do not know how or why it is factual nor do I any longer care to know. It works and that is all I need to know to act on the fact. Thanks for sharing the above quote.

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts, It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do, It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a person...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. "

We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us. Become who you wish to be.

Learn to express rather than impress. Expressing evokes a me too attitude while impressing evokes a so what attitude.

Confidence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's a result of something. Hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication. That is what makes a good, proficient adjuster.

For the most part, fear is nothing but an illusion.
When you share it with someone else, it tends to disappear.

Make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back.
Regret is an appalling waste of energy; you can't build on it,
it's only good for wallowing in.

"What we ponder and what we think about sets the course of our life. Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish, we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish, we can start a new activity. Any day we wish, we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.
"We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, "The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves." We created our circumstances by our past choices. We have both the ability and the responsibility to make better choices beginning today."
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.

Keep on going, and the chances are that you will stumble on something, perhaps when you are least expecting it. I never heard of anyone ever stumbling on something sitting down.

The deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation. You are not discovering yourself, but creating yourself anew. Seek, therefore not to find out who you are, seek to determine who you want to be.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died"

I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man. Is this important in our work, absolutely, plus knowledge.
