    Long story short...

I was a member of the old CADO and just registered again to get this off my chest.

Have v24 on my old Dell.  Bought a new Lenovo with Vista.  Downloaded x25 trial so I could import my files from x24.  x25 won't let you install a new profile unitl you activate.  X-thiefs want me to pay 2 license fees!  You cannot get anyone on the phone for free.  You can use the awful online "chat support."  I am not a high school student that uses chat and text messages.  I am a professional and want to speak to someone!!!

It is crystal clear that this company does not give a hoot (or other word) about the IA.  Their focus is clearly on the large carriers and big accounts.

Charge me $120.00 a month to use it, $700.00 for the x-25 "new features" class (thanks, but I'll pass.)  What a cash cow...I have been forced to use your software and now you want me to pay to find out how to use the "new" featues!

I want to call someone and tell them the problem, then they can tell me how to fix it.  Too much to ask I guess.

I am about to scream.  X-crap makes it so darn difficult to data transfer all my files to this new machine. I cannot set up the necessary profile because I get and error connecting to xnet.

My plan was to get the v25 trial version unitl I got all my files off my old machine, then activate because it's stupid to pay 2 times for both versions when I am only one user!

If I could use Simsol for every carrier, I would.  I can call, speak to someone and problem is fixed.  X-crap should take some lessons in customer service from John P and company at Simsol.

If you go to Xactimate's website, there are instructions that walk you through a work-around to install Xactimate 24 on a Vista machine.  I was cautious at first, but all works well.  I have had no problems with it.

As far as I know (which isn't very far), no carrier is using X25.

Why switch when no one will allow your files done on X25?

I think I'll wait 'till next year

Me too, but I'll look forward to it.  I downloaded the demo and it seems pretty friendly.  It should be good after a couple updates to get the bugs out.

Eberl's Claim Service told me that State Farm had gone to Xactimate 25.
