    Hi

I'm new to the board and new to the industry. In fact I am still waiting to have my license in  my hand.

I've read a couple post here and will try not to come off too simple and idealistic.

My impression before I studied for my online course was that there would be 'staff' and 'independent' adjusters. I thought it best to try first as a staff adjuster. It would mean a moderate income and a chance to learn. I could branch out after I learned the job.  So I got a couple questions and if anyone would be so generous I would be grateful.

    I got a bunch

    1. I've never done this, is there a way to get a hold of a finished claim? I'd like to study it to get a better idea of what a claim looks like from an adjusters perspective.

    2. I gotta climb on the roof? That  sounds like a job for a daily/staff adjuster. If I'm only looking at someone's roof, I'm thinking maybe there's no catastropy.

I'll post more later, don't want to wear out my welcome on the first day.

By the way, thanks for letting me in.

You should not be able to access a finsihed claim, the information is confidential. Once employee your employer should show you what they want.

Staff adjuster is a good way to start and learn the trade.

In some jursidictions employees can not be made to claimb a roof. There are many reason a roof inspection may be needed, not just large cats.

    Good luck

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers.
