Want to get input regarding RV parks around NY and NJ areas. I have a fifth wheel and trying to decide if I should use my trailer or just get a hotel.

    Thanks for your input

Unless your little camper has one heck of a heater, I'd lleave it at home.

I got up one morning in Detroit and it was 8 below 0 with wind. The back of the parking lot had several RVs stored there and the adjusters had a room just like I did.

It gets cold it the Northeast from now until May or so..

I am at the Liberty Harbor RV Park in NJ. If you are still looking for an RV Park and in the Jersey City area, this may be the park for you. The park seems pretty full, but I do see RVs coming and going a lot. The managers are very friendly. There are a lot of adjusters/contractors here.

For the past two years, I have worked NY/NJ claims from Irene and Sandy. There are NO RV parks on Long Island open past October 1st. We have been lucky to have found the Pine Cone RV Resort in Freehold, NJ. The other option is Indian Lake RV Park in Jackson, NJ. Both have year-round service. Freehold is much closer to the NY claims than Jackson. They have been pretty "full" here but it looks like folks will start pulling out around Christmas.
