I am making a career change on the advice of a friend that does this and can help get my foot in.

My experience is 20+ years in construction and I had a business doing home insurance jobs from broken pipes in the winter when owners are away, fire, etc.  I estimated these jobs for my company and negotiated the contracts as a subcontractor for the repair company.

Basically, I have some real world experience on what needs to be done at least on those types of jobs, but would need to learn much I am sure.  My questions are about training and certification and where is a highly credible school in Minnesota?

If I can get some helpful direction on where to start and what training/certifications I need to start that would be grately appreciated.  Also if there are others that will really help push me on to getting work.

How long to become employable as an adjuster?
