I am trying to get feedback on Web Based Claim Management Systems to try and figure out the best one.  I am taking demo's of several, but I am  sure there are lots out there I am not aware of.

I am do not do CAT work and dont need system built primarliy for CAT adjusters (I am in Canada).

Most of our work is Property & Liability, but will most likely also do auto in the near future.

Some of the main features I am looking for are:  document bundler / converter, e-mail functionality, auto-fill templates (user created templates for use in system),

Any feedback, or pros & cons of systems you have used would be much appreciated!

    Hello,

I whole heartedly recommend "Click-claims" for your CMS needs. I am far from proficient in regards to IT issues. One could say my computer skills are akin to a monkey trying to F@#$ a football.

So with that being said, I was able to quickly dissimenate the instructions and utilize the features of the CMS with confidence.

Among other features is a PDF bundler it's so easy even I can't mess it up.

    Check out click-claims

Try File Track - I am at the NAIIA convention and they are here.  I think they are from Canada and several of the independen firms in the states use them and like them.  Since they are from Canada they may do Canadian type billing....

If money is not an object, Clickclaims.

Xactanalysis is great and most of my claims are funneled through this.   For an adjuster like me, it sure is nice when all I have to do is worry about my claims and ONE internet software to turn in my reports, photos, forms, and estimates. This can hurt you since you won't be able to vie for the Simsol or MSB business that many of the smaller insurance carriers use and that can mean a lot of business.

For everything else, there's FileTrac and it's great. When you add price to the equation, I can't see why you'd want to pay list price for any other service.

If you have a large enough budget, it may be worth it to create a simple, no frills CMS on your own. Outsource its development and then bring someone inside to manage and customize it as you see fit (could be you).

Eagle Adjusting, TeamOne Claims, and MillsMehr and Associates have their own CMS that were developed in-house. They work extremely well and are not complex in their overall layout. Make sure that the macro design is simple and will only require minimal updates in the future.

I know of a company that did this and came up with a terrible and cumbersome layout that they did in-house. They ended up falsely convincing themselves that the program was good (once you understand it...). It looks and behaves like it was created in the 80's. Their IT guy can't do much with it except scrap it and suggest a major vendor like the ones above. The only trade-off is that would cost him his job. The sardonic twist was that he was the one that kept focusing on the positive.

Being simple is something that reduces the downtime you incur when training new adjusters whether they are there for the long haul or just for the storm. Most IA's out there know ClickClaims, File Trac, and can quickly pick up the layout of the design used by the firms I mentioned.

Being in Canada I am sure you are aware of Symbility. Check them out as this is a web based claims system for both mobile and inside claims work.

I would like to suggest http://myclaimshelper.com. Its relatively new but it's more suited for individuals/small firms.  They will also make small adjustments for you! Much cheaper than the bigger players.
