    Hi all!

My name is Anne and I just joined the forum, I’m also a new comer to nsurance related activities. I’m still trying to understand it all and our little company (just me and my son) is still navigating through all the different ways to approach the industry. It’s a tough economy! I was wondering – for those of you involved in the industry (especially veterans) business owner or not, what are some of services, tools, strategies, or latest resources you find helpful or profitable in doing your work or - business?  Online or offline, I’m sure there is quite a lot in both right?!

    Thanks and God bless!

In the archieves are topics on almost everything. Read through, should answer many of your questions, and then when you ask specific questions you will gt an answer. Aslo you do not indicate what par of the business you are trying to get into.

It seems to me a lot of people have been trying to make a living on catastrophe property adjusting for as many years as computers and software programs have been around. The software programs and the vendor system has eliminate lots of work that was farmed out 20 years ago. Things like calling all insureds in 24 hours after the adjuster get the paper assignment. This can now be done by the vendors who make the calls and give the adjusters contact numbers to stop the phones from ringing.

Long distance estimating has been tried by thousands and seems to be too cumbersome to work. Send me a private email with specific questions and I will give you my opine, but thats all it is one opine.

It's not as tough as some guys make it sound. Some can jump right in after a 1 week ride along and make a career of it. BTW...."opine" is a verb. One would offer an "opinion" to another, if they were inclined to do so.
