I had one company quote me 60% for doing their daily claims as an IA. Is this normal or not.
Also they don't pay until they get paid. is that the norm or not. I don't believe I have ever worked for anyone that way.

I have heard Some IA Firms trying to find good adjusters for 60%, Independants must pay for everything and if you work for 60% more power to you. Expecially with some of the IA Firms going to whore mode and settling on low fee schedules. I think All independant Adjusters Must stand all for one and one for all.

It is typical to get paid when they get paid. So for 60% your an adjuster and a bank....... I know one IA company in Atlanta trying to get adjusters for a flat rate of $150.00 including photos, mileage.

    Jerry,

we do 60% for unproven adjusters on dailies, 65% once established and 70% for our top adjusters on CAT and yes, our IA's get paid when we get paid.

I know of at least one firm that pays 60%, provides the E&O, provides the software and pays you based on your closed claims ever two weeks and other firms that also include the E&O and software but pay 65% . The point is you will find many different options out there just don't get stuck on the percentage, look at the complete package and the available work, then select the one works best for you. The percentage does not mean much if you do not get any work.

Also we have an invoice survey on the "On The Road" page that provides some information on the average billing.

Jerry, there is a fee schedule comparison in the Den, it is little dated but it may provide some information.
