    Hey everybody,

Trying to gear up for this hurricane season and haven't worked a storm in over a year.  Anyone in the same situation that wants to meet up and practice writing a claim or xactimate?  Rather than taking a class we as adjusters could get together and compare estimates, this would be just as good or not better than one of those re-fresher classes.  If you live in the Orlando or Space Coast region hit me up.  brianlamothe@hotmail.com

    Good luck this season

Brian keep this practice up. This is the way to learn. All of us old staff adjusters talked to our peers several times a week on questions. We also attended ever meeting (monthly) of the local claims association meeting. We also attended ever free seminar we could find, most important was the big defense law firms would put on a one day with all the new and old laws since last year and have lawyers and judges talk on a specific topic for 30-40 min. Years ago I belonged to National Association of Cat. Adjusters. I was not a charter member, but was ask to be, and I was in Oil & Gas sales. The Cat. industry should be ashamed of its self to call themselves prfesionals. Less than 50% can be called professional, because they do not have the time on the job experience. NACA has turned into a one time of year picnick, which is fine when all the old members get together. I also got many jobs 20 years ago, because I was a "respected" member.
