    Hello All,

I am looking to take some classes for credit hours to retain my license. Please respond with classes you would recommend in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Thanks.

When I lived in the DFW area there were free classes offered by Blackmon-Mooring, ServPro and Service King.

Essential Claims Training Has a 16 hour class scheduled for July 17 & 18 in Lewisville, about 15 minutes north of DFW.  The class covers handling Business Income Claims during this hurricane season, including those involving oil spill issues.  The class is approved by the Texas Department of Insurance.  For information, go to www.essentialclaimstraining.com or call Jim Chaney at 214-991-2711.  Additional classes that will be offered in the future are also listed at the website.

If you are willing to pay for credit hours, I would suggest you check Amcat's courses where you would get more hours for your money spent. Amcat is located in the Irving, Texas area and at www.amcatusa.com
