I am looking for a Demo disc or downloadable file for Xactimate 25.2 for the Vista 64 bit operation system. Does anyone out there have a copy that I can use?

I don't have the 25.2 and I know it's not supported on 64 bit, but if you have a current subscription you can request it from Xactimate online and they will email you a download link. I have had to do it with 25.4 a few times.

I am now trying to get 25.5 loaded to my Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I was on phone and live chat about 4 hours yesterday and is still not loaded.

Can't get the Microsoft SQL Server to load as get error, this is needed to get Xactimate to work.

Any one have any info that might help.

I do have "Windows Vista Business " copy already but not sure if that will help. Waiting for call back from Xactware.

I couldn't get 25.5 to work on my 64 bit computer either. I currently have 27 and 25.4 installed in order to accomodate my clients. For some reason my data won't transfer to 25.5. I have tried about six times and it hasn't been successful, so I decided not to waste anymore time on it.

I do not know the fall out for consumers who are cheated out of money or the insurors who are overpaying by the millions if exactimate is not working on thousands of computers. I think the class action lawyers should move on this very soon and the clock should start the day 27 came out.

johnclark,  In many cases if the installed failed and then you try to reinstall it will also fail unless you completely remove the SQL Server or at least  the Xactimate Instance on SQL Server that is install during the installation of Xactimate.   Did the Chat with Xactware talk about removing the SQL server?   Uninstalling Xactimate does not remove the SQL Server. Note: Do not remove the SQL Server unless you know what you are doing and you know that it is not used by other apps, in most cases users do not have the SQL Server installed on their laptops or PCs before installing Xactimate.

I was able to get Xactware to manually load the program after I let them take control of my computer. I had gone through all the steps to remove everything and start again with the live e-mail chat and the live phone conversation but would not load.
I am not sure what the tech did but he tried the normal way also then had to manually install the SQL Server to get it working. I did not know what all he did as I don't know my way around a computer to much other than the estimating programs. If I see it a few times I am ok with it but he was so fast I couldn't keep up.

I had a great e-mail about technology for old timers but could not figure how to attach as I tried to cut and paste but couldn't

OK, I now have the software that I was looking for when I began this post. I have Xacitmate 25.2 in a file on my notebook. I have a Windows Vista 64 bit system and the software is 64 bit. The program will not install. It appears to install sucessfully until a window appears asking where (what drive) to install it to. The button to submit the choice does not react when clicking on it.I contacted XM8 and was told that they do not support the 25.2 demo version. They only support the 25.5 demo version now. I understand that there is a fix for this. Can anyone point me in a direction that may help.
