I have entered a hip roof in a PDF File below. It has several overlays on the right side .How do you add those to the sketch diagram?

I would also like to say that this forum is a wealth of information to run xactimate it has answered several questions that I have had on "X".

I have to say that we need questions answered when we need them answered. This forum is a 24 hr stress reliever for the major questions encountered when you are in the field. spend some time here and go to all the info provided. there is a wealth of information here if you just search for it. we need to realize that right now xactimate is the choice of vendors and we need to be flexible enought  to use the type of estimating program they desire.

I mean come on what else are you doing today.?? I have had absolutely no problem loading the demo. xactimate people will tell you how to do it and it will load very quickly. I have loaded it at least 4-5 times and if you want it will download the working claims they have in their class.

All you need to remember is that the people paying the checks to us request xactimate.

if they want the cow milked a certain way thats the way you do it. can't get any simpler than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop bucking the bull and go for the cream.

Line Break the first hip per your measurements, then do the second and third. When you drag out make sure its a hip roof. Just make sure you have the correct pitch on each slope, other wise it will not come together..

I would do the Single hip with a small pitch first, then on the other side the first hip coming off the main room, you can line break and make sure your main rof span is the 27' you measured..

Hope this helps, and you are familar with line break, but remember in order to drag out as a roof hit control key.?

You need to click on Properties and then the Dimensions tabs in Xmate. Change the new hip roof to "End A Only" otherwise sketch will try to make these sub-roofs hip roofs with two opposing slopes as opposed to extensions from the main roof. Good luck.
