I went through the AMCAT training to see if I would like to try cat adjusting as a new career. I went in with no real hope of getting on a roster, just checking it out. However, I passed the class and was offered a contract with them and put on their roster. Does anyone know anything about this company? I haven't done any work with them and don't want to if they have a bad rep, but I can't find anything on them on these forums.

They enjoy a good reputation, so you can't go wrong there.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

This is the foot in the door that you need. Whats hard to understand for new and old adjusters is WOW(waiting on weather) It takes lots of bad weather to get thousands of people who are not working in adjusting daily to deployed to a distant city. It may take a hurricane as large as Andrew or Katrina for you to get called out on your first storm. It could also be a large hailstorm that damaged most ever structure in Cook and Lake County , IL.

Go home and practice writing damage claims on your own house, if you do not have software , all four will give you a 30 day trial version that will work. Find a mentor to look at your finished product in PDF format. All of this is FREE and you will learn by practice. Join claims mentor and you may find a good mentor if you will help yourself.

All hew adjusters who have never seen hail damage....... on this site under Community drop down the Gallary and print out the hail photos in color 4x6. This is what  large hail damage looks like. If you study these photos several times you will never be fooled on hail damaged roof claims. This is the real thing and its FREE, just like hundreds of post on this site and Claims Mentor.

Thanks. I tried to register at claims mentor last night and was told they weren't taking new registrations. I'll try again tonight. I am also thinking about taking the xactimate course with AMCAT. Now that I know they have a good rep, I believe I will.
