For the past few years I have done the Cat. deployment to different parts of the U.S. But most recently I have been trying to find companies that are looking for daily claims adjuster not,  staff adjusters, independent 1099 adjusters jobs here in Georgia. I know they are out there but, I am having a hard time finding them. What is the secret code or hand shake required to find these companies or what ?

Keep knocking on those doors and eventually one will open.  Daily vendors don't necessarily like to bring on Cat-only adjusters because the pace is much different and it can be a sincere headache for them to indoctrinate adjusters with 'cat-only' experience into the slower, lower paying, and more investigative approach to claims adjusting.  Plus, they never know if the person is truly sincere about staying around when the next big one is going to hit.

If you read Ray Hall's posts, you will see occasional references to his difficulty in finally convincing his vendors to allow him to return to his roots and work as a Daily Adjuster.

I've heard that getting pure cat adjusters trained to do daily claims is like teaching an old housecat to swim across a small pool.  I've never seen a cat swim, but I've seen a wet cat.  Not a pretty sight...

Local daily claims are hard to come by for the local IA. They will not put on a storm adjuster who will pull up on the next big on. Why should they?

Along with your application & copy of driver's licence/SS card, include a copy of your AARP card and the discount punch cards to your local barber shop, diner, watering holes, etc.  Kinda like getting bail instead of remand just to show you intend to remain in the area.   A note from your probation officer may or may not be helpful.

My probation officer is looking to be a cat adjuster, too.  Guess he heard about the easy money?
