When I passed the State Farm test 11 years ago(after three trys @ $80.00) I was told by SF "this is not a SF certification"; as no such exist. This says you passed our test. As for the NFIP flood adjusters number I think they say the same thing. I think certifacations have to be issured by a trade group such as plumbers, auto tec,s, barbers, chefs etc. Catastrophe adjusters to not have a certification board that I am aware . I will lay my hands on you on the SE corner of Applebees under the maple tree on 1960 in Humble, TX for $99.00 or a husband and wife team can get both hands on each head for $89.00 as it is not as much stress on my old shoulders if both are about the same height. Small step stools are permitted.

As a follow up, I can meet you in front of Starbucks in Hobby Airport if you fly in by Southwest Airlines and save the rental car fee. I will have the stool.

I think the site and I are conflicted, it takes me a long time to log in and then I go to a screen that says we dont use this anymore and then I go to another, and so forth and then it makes me look like a bumbling old adjuster, but how in the heck can the puter tell, I am about to get the message that I am persona non grata. I think the water suckers sent out the bumbling adjusters police and they did something to the black line coming into my house.

I don't know who told you a State Farm Certification doesn't exist but it most surely does. It's called the State Farm IDL Certification (Interactive Distance Learning). 3 day class, 1 class, 1 for a public broadcast, 1 for the test.
you get 2 tries to pass it, fail both, and you go home.
From what I understand, most IA Firms will sponsor you for the training, and that's the only way to get it.

Unless things have changed, and they probably have, Allstate doesn't have certifications but the adjusters are rated. Some of the other carriers demand that you attend one of their sessions, at your expense and they charge for it, to be "certified" to handle their claims. I'm a certified idiot, certified nut job, certified ASE Master Auto Technician, graduated from bait school, certified loving grandfather and there's some other ones out there, I'm sure But, I'm not certified to work Nationwide claims because I refused to pay someone to work their claims. I need to work on my attitude.

roflmao...that was hilarious!
actually it's interesting, I got a phone call from an IA firm back at the end of September to get certified for Allstate...I had to decline at the time, as I was already on an assignment.

Larry Hardin, Other than being a war hero, I don't know whether or not you are certified for anything. You are, however, definately not certifiable. I think you left all your certifiableness in South Viet Nam. Adjuster certification and adjuister schools, what a joke. As I so certify. Bring me $500.00, we'll drink beer for three days and I will certify that you are the best damned adjuster that ever lived. Hell, I'll even give you a plaque, instead of some damned paper "certificate".
No one is absolutely worthless, at the very least you can serve as a bad example.
