Had to pass along this recommendation.  I have owned cougar paws and they're great and all but imho, deadly if the slightest bit of dew is still on the roof and the soles seem to wear out every 5th roof.  I picked up a pair of $20 shoes from walmart made for skateboarding and have to say they are the best non-cougar roof shoes I've ever worn - and you can actually wear them on the ground as well.  I'll get the CPs when I need them again, but frankly I've been on about 30 roofs in the past 2 weeks and didn't run into one where CPs would have made a difference over the skater shoes.

I have never, never tried skate boarding on a 10/12 roof.

Must be a young guy thing

But Larry, you are missing the point: If you can get off the roof faster, you won't have time to gather enough speed, therefore you won't get hurt when you meet the ground.
No one is absolutely worthless, at the very least you can serve as a bad example.

Added bonus - when you hit the ground you can yell "ahhhh duude" and get featured on youtube.

That's what has been missing in my life!!!

    Being featured on youtube.

No wonder my dog won't let me pet her.

A memorable "Larry-ism", which I've adopted & repeated on occasion:  "I just want to be the type of person my dog thinks I am."

Now, you've got me a little concerned, Larry...all the while I was thinking it was a good thing!

    Mike,
How do you know that Larry's dog doesn't think Larry is a jerk. I am sure his dog knows that Larry spends an inordinate amount of time at a massage parlor and that at times Larry goes for weeks/months without working. Maybe the dog thinks Larry is nothing more than a horney bum. Come to think of it, that may be absolutely right, perhaps that is what Larry aspires to become. Knowing him like I do, I suspect the dog is correct.
