After writing a whole bunch of claims in 25.1   some things you should always check

The statement of loss in the general loss report does not always calculate the deductible correctly  especially on below dedcutible claims that have recoverable deprecition

if you have a 1500.00 loss with a 2000.00 deductible that has 100.00 dollars of recoverable deprecition The summary will say the net claim payable  if depreciatioin is recovered is 100.00   It only applies the deductible as the ACV amount of the claim

If you enter in ALE/LOU amount  the Loss Recap, It will only "sometimes" calculate correctly  in the statement off loss summary   and it never calculates correctly f the rest of the claim is under deductible

If  you add 1500.00 to the loss recap in the above scenario  It will say Plthe claim payable is 1600.00. which is wrong should be 1500.00

Also sometimes the ALE /LOU will not calculate into the RCV total at all

The bad thing is after spending time with Xactware e service, These are known issues.  They also said there is known issues with the Billing invoice not calculating correctly .

The solution is to have your calculator handy and manually enter the amounts into the summary. You will have to calculate all the line items  in the summary as it does not automatically calculate if you choose to modify  the numbers.

Gee,  since so many are requiring the usage of that program, do you think the time spent correcting the erroneous yet mandated program are billable hours?

One work around to the deductible issue listed in your item one, is to deselect the auto update and enter the full deductible amount, this is on the Loss Recap.

All you have to do is keep track of all the time it takes to do this and send the carrier who required xmate to pay you $80.00 per hour for your time, but send $32.00 to the vendor for their cut and the rest to you. If you do not ask...... well you know that story. I think its ....gsth...
