Job Overview

Specialty Adjusting International is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Supervisor to join our team to help manage and process Property & Casualty Insurance claims. In this role, you will oversee the claims process, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for managing a team of claims adjusters, providing guidance and support while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of various aspects of claims management, including underwriting, fraud prevention detection, and risk management.

Duties

  • -Supervise and mentor a team of claims adjusters, providing training and support as needed.
  • -This position requires excellent writing skills to complete General Loss Reports (GLR) to the carrier.
  • -Review and analyze claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • -Evaluate 1st party property repair estimates and water damage restoration claims for validity.
  • -Maintain detailed records of claims processes and outcomes for reporting purposes.
  • -Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to claims management.
  • -Ability to read and understand residential and commercial insurance policies
  • -Review documents, correspondence, and reports pertaining to claim investigations
  • -Proactively communicate with customers concerning claim updates
  • -Familiarity with FileTrac claim management system is preferred


Requirements

-10+ years is 1st party Property claims

-5+ years in 3rd party casualty claims is a bonus!

-Proven experience in claims management or a related field.

-Clear and professional communication skills, written and oral

-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.

-Excellent clerical skills, including proficiency in documentation and record keeping.

-Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
