Rbryanhines, my days of stormin have ended, and I am now a staffer, located in one area and perform all lines adjusting. I only perform cat work when it knocks on my front door as Ivan did.

Therefore, I have many relationships with all the contractors in my territory, from Water Extract to GC's. After many years of working the same area the trust between myself and these service providers works very well for the insured. I do set the price by writing the estimate and never have a problem with the honest contractors.

I do know how they responded to the Cat Adjusters that arrived here due to Ivan and others. It is different. Therefore, Mr. Postova does need to realize that most GC's know the difference between a Staffer and a Stormer, and they do respond differently to the two types of adjusters.

Lets sum up working regular losses from storm losses. Two seperate deals. This is regular losses only that I have talked about. I know some contractors that I have said "start to work" when i was staff. I have know some as an IA.

The contractors should never start work on any losses unless the insured is on board 100% and no job should ever start untill the adjuster agrees. Complete disclosure to all of the triangle.
