Hi! I just got my license 5 months ago in my home state, South Carolina. I will attend the Pilot seminar on September and want to get licenses in other States before attending.

I think I will get AL, NC and GA. Is there any other State that you think I should consider? I am new in this and will really appreciate any advise you can give me.

    Thank you!

Great question! I'm sure you already got this answered, but I figured I'd answer it for everyone else who may read this.

There are a few things to think about when considering what is the "best licenses."

    1. What types of losses are you wanting to work? (hail, hurricane, fire, flood)

    2. What time of year is it? (hail is march-sept hurricanes are (july-nov)

Based on that you can look at the map and decide what states you may need to get licensed. There are a lot of states that don't require licenses in the Midwest where it hails so you don't have to get those licenses, but you should probably get Texas, OK, and a few others if you want to work hail.

If you just are looking to hit it big with hurricanes, Fl, SC, NC, VA, GA and the gulf starts are obvious. I wrote an entire article on this topic if you want more information. Hope this helps
