    This fantastic Roy,

It describes me to a T on how I got my start, I knew someone in the industry and the weather brough the 4 in 04 that made landfall in Florida.

This survey in my opine reflects not just our industry, but many industries in where its not what you know, but who you know in getting your foot in the door. What someone does with that opportunity decides who stays.

In as much as I think I know the industry and that I think I am very good at what I do, I am the first to say there was an element of luck that I walked into this industry and found work and kept busy for the 5 1/2 years up until my ladder fall. From that point , I believe my history allowed me to find a job as a claims manager. I would have never had the opportunity to become a claims manager had I not gotten extremely lucky back in 04..

    Great survey Roy,
