I am aware of a staff job posting that is available in the Houston TX area which is very unique, highly specialized and required a strong knowledge of coverage review/application, business interruption handling, contingent loss determination and have a good experience level of dealing with split layers of coverage between many carriers. You can count on every policy involved to be manuscript in nature, with many layers and each layer possibly having many carriers involved to certain degrees/percentages of coverage for that layer. Just working out the percentages per carrier per layer is an accounting nightmare at times. It is in the energy field, and claims would be involving risks such as refineries, pipelines systems, possibly some drilling concerns, etc. A working knowledge/past experiences dealing with the London insurance markets is also a plus as a lot of the risks are shared with them.
It is not a job for anyone without a lot of heavy commercial/industrial experience to consider, so please keep that in mind. The job is a new position, and I don't know if they placed a title with it but it would be compatible with a Executive or Territorial GA position.
If anyone would have an interest in this, or knows of someone that would be highly qualified, please contact me at
sbeau4014@aol.com and sent me a resume with some information as to your experience for a position of this type. The time frame on the position to be filled is fairly urgent, so please respond within the next few days if possible. Also put in the subject line "job posting" as for most people it will go into my spam folder. If I don't know the person sending it, or the subject matter, it gets deleted automatically.
What I will do is verify that the person is good candidate for the job, and then forward the information on to a person with the company that is involved in the selection process. Don't bother to ask what it pays as all I will say is over 6 figures, and would come with all the benefits of a staff position. Also I won't say the carrier, except to say it is a huge carrier in the commercial/industrial market.
