Glad to have found this site.  First off let me give a little background.  I am 41 Yrs old and have worked construction all over the country since i was 18.   The last 5 years i have been a General Contractor and also own a landscape company. I worked on the Gulf Coast flipping houses after Katrina for almost a year. I am experienced in all phases of construction and remodeling and typically work 80-90 hrs a week between the actual physical work and computer work in the evening doing bids and billing.  Typically, the fall season is extremely slow for me and after meeting many adjusters after Katrina, being an independent adjuster has always been in the back of my mind.

I have the cash reserves to live for a few months until payment starts to come in and i have help here in Montana to take up the slack in the fall.    With all this said, i have been looking hard at Mile High Adjusters program in Denver.   They offer 5 days of adjuster training and 3 days of Xactimate training and the end result (if you pass the exam) is a Texas All Lines License.   They also put you on their roster for assignments and offer mentoring.   Of course this means THEY will be getting part of the $$$ i would make but i think this might be the best way to get started.

Does anyone have any experience with this company?   Anyone have any opinions that may help me out with this decision?   I appreciate ALL positive and negative feedback.   Thanks in advance.
