Thanks guys, I do have another way to make income, but want to do storm work as well. I have a group of guys that have been doing it for sometime that will be taking me with them, and training me as well. I understand it is very hard, but I know I have the ability to do the job. I will make sure what companies we are working for first, thanks again!

I got me one o' them "gubmint jobs" and am ready to go back to work pretty soon, now.

I don't think the remark was made with ill intention but it was not stated very well, was it?

I, too, have worked with those with no degree and those with a lot of formal education.

Me thinks the street education is worth more on a storm than all the book knowledge in the world. The other side of this coin is the adjuster that is working very complex liability or commercial claims probably needs the formal education to rely on for the mind processes, if nothing else.
