    CADO Adjusters:

Why are not more CADO adjusters also NACA adjusters and members?  NACA is a great professional organization of professional property cat adjusters and has been for decades now.  I have been a member since the 80's and have just been elected to their executive committee and now in line for presidency in four years.  The current NACA executive committee has a great team of professionals with diverse backgrounds including cat adjusters, independent adjusting firm owners and a software expert (moi).  We have big plans for the organization during the coming years and everyone reading  this post should seriouly consider applying for membership.  This cost is only one or two no-claims a year and your return-on-investment can be 10-fold.  Our 2012 conference will be in Las Vegas next January and will be filled with continuing education classes, motivational speakers and an NFIP certification class.  NACA can be reached through our website at http://www.nacatadj.info/naca/html/...spx.

John, please forgive my honesty, but I have looked into the NACA and honestly could find no benefit for me. Other than the availability of CEU offerings, and those can be obtained from sources that do not require membership dues. Now I am not saying this to be anti NACA, but would like to know if NACA actually has some other benefit that I am not seeing. I would like to see an organization that would benefit cat adjusters, not just provide a certificate on the wall and a monthly draw on an account. We have countless conferences that are available, all with classes and certifications to numerous to name. What will NACA offer for its members, What services can NACA provide for the membership dues. Please don't take offense at my posting, just trying to provide food for thought.

I was once a member and saw no benefit, so no more.

I have to agree with the other two responses that it has little value.  The last time I checked, it was filled with wannabes.  It might be different now as it has been a few years since I checked. I have many friends who support it.  I also have no intent to offend but there is nothing there for me anymore.
