Hey Everyone!
I am working on the possibility of an Adjuster 'Get-Together' for any and all adjusters working Isabel claims in the Virginia coastal area. I have talked with a couple of places about availibility of a designated area for us to have a 'meet & greet' to put names and faces together and swap lies!
There would be a flat fee ($10?) to cover drinks and the food might be comp'd. (One of the locations is a Hooter's, OK!) I would need to have a basic idea of the number of people possible 'cause that would determine the place.
I am thinking a Sunday afternoon (1 to 4pm) in about 2 weeks (October 26th).
Talk about it with other adjusters you may be working with and either send me a PM or an e-mail to khromas@aol.com on how many may come to something like this.
Final details will follow if there is enough interest out there! |

| Excellent idea. I hope everyone will be willing to participate. Janice and I met Michael Stuart and are quite impressed with his knowledge and personality. After having been an adjuster, or should I say a real adjuster, for almost 44 years, I am always pleased to see a younger adjuster with a good head on his or her shoulders. This will be a good opportunity for many of us to meet and finally put a face and personality with the names we see here on CADO. Hope this works out better than our attempt to start an organization of qualified adjusters. Seems like all we do is talk, with little action. October 26 is a little late though, I personally think it should be next week end. Any ideas ladies and gentlemen, now that the ball has some momentum. |

Would Monday, the 20th ('Monday Night Football') be a better time and day? I did a claim for a customer that owns a bar/restuarant that would love to host us. All I need is a basic number of people.
My guy here is telling me he may keep me another month! If there is work, I'm staying! |

| Pass the word to Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Williamsburg people too. It is less than 30 minutes from those places into Newport News. I just picked this location 'cause it was central and where I was working. |

Heard everyone's comments and made some changes. Moved the day up since a lot of people are trying to get out of here. Here are the final DETAILS.
'Get-together' is on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm(or about there)
Location: Mike's Place (in Newport News, directions below)
Cost: $20 per person (Looks high but it is 'ALL U CAN EAT/DRINK!!!!!!)
Menu: Steamed shrimp, oysters, wings, potato skins, crab dip/chips, veggie trays,....
and .... snow-crab legs (if he can get them!)
Directions: Interstate 64 - Exit 258A (J. Clyde Morris - SOUTH)from either direction.
Go 2.6 miles on J. Clyde Morris to Warwick. (Intersection is the entrance to The Mariners Museum. If you don't see a big propeller at the intersection, you're lost - see below!)
Left on Warwick, go 1.4 miles to traffic light at Cedar Lane. (7-11 on right.)
Turn left into Warwick Shopping Center parking lot.
Mike's Place is in the back right corner.
757-599-5500 if you get lost! (Course we'll all laugh at you when you get there!)
It is important that I can give them a reasonably firm number of people on Saturday!

I am going to get name tags and will have my digital camera for photos. Maybe we can get someone to set up a link to a web-site to post them on.
My wife is coming in on Saturday and she would love to talk with some of the lady storm-chasers about what they face. We are thinking about getting her into it as well.

Just my luck. Finally a chance to meet some of the CADO folks I have been reading for years here in my hometown, and I will be in Georgia.
But I live in Va. Beach full time and will be back Monday.
I'd be happy to post the pictures on my webpage. We can meet up Monday, and I could post them soon after. Can they be burnt to CD?
